Every time I'm in Norfolk, this place is on my "go to" place for food. I've been to their original spot and I was pleasantly surprised that they opened a second location.
This place already earned my 5-stars so I'm just comparing the old and new place.
The parking is much more plentiful. The place is new, so it's airy and bright. Same menus; what you see on their board, is what you will get placed in front of you - picture perfect.
I wish there were more beef option. Entrees are served on either biscuit or bun. I went for the bun because biscuits tends to crumble especially loaded with meat and condiments. As it was, I had to use the old trick of flipping over the sandwich as soon as the bottom bun got soaked.
A full meal, sides, and drinks (sorry, too full for desserts) cost a party of three $40. I think that's a steal!
Good move on the business expansion, while keeping the menu true to your roots. My guests who were from out of town, thought that this was worth the 3+ hours drive. -

Been here multiple time and am never disappointed. You really can't go wrong no matter what you order. Service is great and friendly.
It is a little small but it's perfect the way it is. -

Handsome Biscuit in Norfolk rocks!! 5 stars absolutely!
The biscuits here are hand made and delicious. Everything I tried was on fleek. PBJ biscuit? Yes!! Hot Betty? Yes!!
We rolled in here because my hetero life mate wanted to let me try something real real good out of the armpit of Virginia. Man, is this place a real gem. Looks like handsome biscuit used to be a gas station because the actual venue is very small and the bones of the place have that "I used to pedal liquid dinosaurs" vibe to it. The staff greeted us when we came in even though it was packed. I had the PBJ biscuit and the hot Betty for some flavor. Both were fire. Wait times were cheap, and for what we got, the biscuits were even cheaper. A must try if you are in the Norfolk area!
This place gets five stars because:
1: everything is biscuit. Everything is handsome.
2: for such a good biscuit, very cheap.
3: service was fast.
4: the people here were friendly and personable.
5: a unique idea that was really done right. Overall awesome spot. -

Giving a restaurant a bad review simply because their parking made it difficult to visit feels silly. I think I was hangry the day I posted that.
I moved from Hampton Roads but I still have close friends tell me how amazing Handsome Biscuit is. I trust their rave reviews so I'm changing mine. -

Watching my daughter's eyes light up and exclaim "Oh My Goodness!" when her PB&J biscuit came out was the highlight of my day! Her look of wonderment was well-deserved -- with mile high, fluffy sweet potato biscuits flanked by heaps of peanut butter and jelly, it was certain an eyeful (and mouthful, it was so messy there was no easy way to eat it!).
I'm a glutton for anything fried so I went with their best-selling Hella Fitzgerland which came with a fried chicken thigh (Popeyes and Chickfila, eat your heart out!), thick cut bacon, cheddar cheese and gravy. Holy cholesterol pills! This was a true American beauty.
My husband and cousin went for the Nashville which they liked but wished there was a little bit of a spicy kick added. Sides were waffle fries, hash browns and collard greens. Out of everything the collard greens were my favorite. They had tons of chopped garlic and some type of vinegary bite which made me feel not so guilty after consuming such a heavy breakfast.
Service came with a smile and even though the place is small we still found seating and was served promptly. Prices were extremely fair -- about $8 or less for a biscuit sandwich. I could see myself paying at least double or more in DC!
I'm pretty sure I'll be here every time I'm in Norfolk from now on.
